First Aid at Work Re-qualification

This First Aid at Work Re-qualification syllabus covers the same topics as those in the initial 3-Day First Aid at Work (FAW) course. However, the training and assessment face-to-face contact is only 12 hours (2 days). This course complies with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) regulations 1981 (Appendix 5 Content of a First Aid at Work (FAW) course).

Important information regarding re-qualification:

The FAW re-qualification course lasts two days and should cover the same content as the initial

3-Day FAW course (Appendix 5). If the first-aider does not re-qualify before the expiry date on their current certificate they are no longer considered competent to act as a first-aider in the workplace.

They can re-qualify at any time after the expiry date by undertaking this two-day re-qualification course. However, it may be prudent to complete the 3-Day FAW course, especially where a considerable period – i.e. in excess of one month – has elapsed since the FAW certificate expired. It is for the employer to decide the most appropriate training course to re-qualify the first-aider.

OMNI TRAINING GROUP LTD will not re-qualify anyone who has expired more than 1 month from the expiry date on their certificate. We would strongly suggest a 3-Day FAW Course.
